To calculate Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) and Top Up you can use the SMP Calculator - this will calculate the payments the employee is due on a weekly or monthly basis basis but respect the Employee Pay Frequency (dependent on your preference and the employee’s pay frequency) and will also create the payslip details in advance to be processed on the pay runs.
