Overview

Making time entries using the Timer feature is very easy and intuitive. The main advantage of the Timer is that you can track your time automatically. You just need to turn on/off the timer at the beginning/end of each shift. The timer will automatically calculate the total working hours for you.

Pre-requisites

MyPay provides a single interface to enter Time and Allowances. The following documentation pertains to entering these on a larger device such as iPad on desktop computer. On a smaller device such as a mobile, the interface will be optimised for that screen size.

Tip
titleAuto Save
MyPay has an auto-save feature, so whilst entering time all changes will be auto-saved - there is no save button. You only have to Submit for Approval once all time is entered for a period.

In order to start Timer, a user needs to be assigned a role with permission that allows using the Timer feature. You can set this up in Timer configuration.

Starting timer

Please note that you can only start a new Timer for the current day.

There are 3 possible ways how to start a new timer:

  1. Quick Entry menu
This option works regardless of which section of MyPay the user is in.
